President Donald Trump has cancelled planned in-person rallies in Iowa and Kansas to host a series of tele-rallies in multiple states. The events will feature Trump appearing by video to address voters. MAGA Inc., the organization hosting the events, has not yet released specific dates for the broadcasts.

The move comes less than a week before Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Nebraska is among 20 states selected for the tele-rallies. Other locations include Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.

Trump is still scheduled to hold an in-person rally in Florida on Friday. He visited Grand Island earlier this month. Vice President J.D. Vance visited North Platte later in October.

Political stakes in Nebraska remain high as both U.S. Sen. Pete Ricketts and Gov. Jim Pillen face tight races in the traditionally red state. Ricketts is battling independent candidate Dan Osborn. Gov. Pillen is facing Democratic candidate Lynne Walz.

The tele-rallies replace physical events in states where Trump had previously planned to speak. The exact schedule for the video events is pending. Voters in the listed states will be able to watch the president address them remotely before casting ballots.
