The Green Bay Packers defeated the Carolina Panthers 27-19 on Thursday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to improve their record to 5-3. Jordan Love threw three touchdown passes for the winning team, which weathered a late fourth-quarter comeback attempt by Carolina.

The Panthers, now 3-4, closed the gap to 27-19 with 5 minutes and 37 seconds remaining. Bryce Young threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Coker on a fourth-and-3 play. Carolina attempted a two-point conversion but the pass fell incomplete.

Carolina received the ball back at its own 45-yard line with 4 minutes and 35 seconds left. Young threw another incomplete pass on fourth down. The Panthers got a final possession starting at their own 20-yard line with 22 seconds on the clock. Young was sacked on the next play, and Green Bay intercepted a lateral to end the game.

Love completed 30 of 41 passes for 288 yards and one interception. Christian Watson suffered a chest injury in the first half and left the stadium in an ambulance for testing. He returned in the third quarter and finished with eight receptions for 113 yards.

The Packers managed only 66 rushing yards. Josh Jacobs, in his second game back since coming off the commissioner exempt list, gained 39 yards on 21 carries. Green Bay entered the game with the league's worst rushing average at 59.9 yards per contest.

According to the Amazon Prime broadcast, Green Bay is the first team in NFL history to hold a winning record through eight games while totaling fewer than 500 rushing yards for the season.

Bryce Young completed 23 of 41 passes for 209 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Chuba Hubbard ran for 81 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Ryan Fitzgerald kicked a 50-yard field goal for Carolina to make the score 27-13 late in the third quarter.
