Coach has released the Chelsea 26, a smaller version of its best-selling shoulder bag, and introduced a new seasonal color named Dark Cherry. The brand aims to capture the current trend for softer, slouchier leather goods that prioritize comfort over rigid structure.

The original Chelsea 30 debuted in January 2026. The new Chelsea 26 follows as a compact alternative. Both models feature bodies made of leather and suede with a discreet logo. This design choice supports a minimalist aesthetic that avoids heavy hardware or prominent branding.

Each bag offers two strap options. Customers can choose a standard leather shoulder strap or a brass chain that functions as both a crossbody and a double-strapped shoulder accessory. The bags are designed for practical use, featuring a zip pocket for organization and a pushlock closure. The interior is open to allow for quick access to contents.

The material is natural grain leather that develops a worn look over time. This aging process aligns with the intended slouchy silhouette of the design. Bella Hadid styled the Chelsea bag at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, which increased its visibility ahead of the fall season.

Coach is applying the new Dark Cherry hue to several other products in its lineup. The Brooklyn Shoulder Bag is available in this color for $295. The mini Plaza Bag costs $135. The new Kisslock Frame Bag 30 is priced at $300.

The brand also offers its Tabby bags in the new shade. The Tabby 26 costs $475, while the smaller Tabby 20 is listed at $375. These items join the Chelsea line as part of Coach's fall-inspired color collection.
