Running back Kyle Monangai missed practice on Thursday, raising questions about his availability for Monday night's game against the Seattle Seahawks. The Chicago Bears listed Monangai as a non-participant in their injury report released on Thursday, his third consecutive absence due to toe and thumb injuries. This development complicates the roster picture for a team preparing to face the reigning Super Bowl champions on the road.

In contrast, the Bears received positive news regarding their defensive front. Linebacker TJ Edwards, who has dealt with a hamstring issue, and linebacker Jack Sanborn, recovering from a concussion, would have been full participants in a complete workout. Both players missed the team's recent victory over the New England Patriots. Their potential return strengthens the Bears' lineup ahead of the trip to a hostile environment in Seattle.

The injury report also identified two other players with limitations. Linebacker D'Marco Jackson was listed with an ankle injury that would have restricted his practice, while defensive back Malik Muhammad would have been limited by a toe issue. These updates provide a clearer view of the physical status of the squad as they approach the weekend matchup.

The Bears issued their first weekly injury report on Thursday, a day later than their usual schedule. This adjustment aligns with their Monday night game time. The team plans to release two additional reports before the contest, with final game status updates scheduled for Saturday. This reporting cadence allows for the most up-to-date information on player availability as the week progresses.
