The Dallas Cowboys rushed for a season-high 204 yards on Monday night to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 in Philadelphia.
Javonte Williams carried the ball for a career-best 155 yards. His performance included a two-yard touchdown run with 2:21 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Cowboys finished the game with 416 total offensive yards compared to 321 for the Eagles.
Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 212 yards of passing and threw three touchdown passes. Two of those scores went to CeeDee Lamb, while George Pickens caught the third. Prescott also ran in a two-point conversion late in the third quarter to extend the lead to 28-21.
The Eagles have now lost five consecutive games, their first such streak since 2016. Their record falls to 2-5 after falling to 3-4 for Dallas. Philadelphia started the game strong, with running back Saquon Barkley scoring on an eight-yard run during the first quarter. Barkley returned from a hamstring injury and gained 71 yards on nine touches.
Backup quarterback Tanner McKee made his fourth start for the Eagles. He completed 211 yards of passing with one touchdown and one interception. McKee led a 17-play, 84-yard drive at the start of the second half that lasted 9 minutes and 16 seconds. That drive ended with a four-yard touchdown pass to rookie Makai Lemon, giving Philadelphia a 21-20 lead.
Dallas took control after that lead change. Prescott threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Lamb, and kicker Brandon Aubrey kicked a 24-yard field goal with 9:10 left in the fourth quarter. The Eagles had previously taken a 14-10 lead in the second quarter on a five-yard run by Dameon Pierce, but Dallas scored the next 10 points to lead 20-14 at halftime.
The Cowboys did not turn the ball over in the win. This victory marks their first in four prime-time games this season. The game featured six lead changes before Dallas pulled away for the final margin.
